Wildwood Days

Wildwood Days is a mixed media installation depicting a sun deck at an ocean-front motel. I thought it would be fun to redo outdoor furniture, replacing the fabric with luxury fabrics that were meant to be used inside the home. The colors are typical of those used in resort architecture during the 50s and 60s. My intention was to make the furniture look like outdoor pieces from a distance. The wall sculptures, which were completed in the 70s, were inspired by shell fragments in shallow water. The photos of Wildwood were taken over the past few years.
