Performance Installation

Juror: Tom Santelli, photographer and Associate Professor at the College of St. Rose, Albany


On Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m., as part of the exhibition reception, there will be an installation / performance piece, Burning Houses, by artist Jane Ingram Allen. Burning of the site-specific installation of multiple house forms made of handmade paper over wire treated in places with fire retardant will be accompanied by live music, composed and played by the Hofbauer Duo — trombonist Chris Allen, left, the artists son, and guitarist Eric Hofbauer. After the burning, the houses will be taken into the gallery and installed for the show’s duration.

Dimensions: Each unit about 6 x 8 x 6 inches.
