The Opening Reception

We had a three-hour reception on December 13, 2003, for the exhibition with about 60 people coming through during the evening which was expected for a December weekend. Word has spread in the area that the exhibit is good and we have had more than our regular number of visitors during regular gallery hours. I and others have been receiving many compliments on the exhibit from the quality of the work to the way the work is exhibited.

The gallery has three spaces — a front street space which is 16 feet wide by 45 feet deep, a second room which is 15 feet by 15 feet, and a balcony about 25 feet which overlooks the second space.

We had three out of town artists at the reception: Jean-Pierrre Schoch of Lugano, Switzerland, Shadi Yousefian of Moraga, CA, and May Yao of Providence, RI
